Sarah has always been interested in cryptozoology and now, thanks to the
pen of J.R.R. Tolkien, dragons have taken a momentary ascendency. This
picture is in response to that. Since I can’t draw the creatures I
allowed the pencil to go where it pleased, which is one reason the
picture turned out this way. I don’t think the image looks terribly
dragon-like. I guess, if it’s anything, it’s Tolkien’s Smaug’s more
socially well-adjusted sibling. But only the pencil knows for sure.

Your pencil work is stunning sir. I’ve never liked dragons and the like but this fellow is so dapper in his posture and dress that even I would invite him over to a dinner party.
Jason, having read innumerable police and FEMA reports about your dinner parties, I’ve little doubt even a giant fire-breathing lizard rapaciously wolfing down your cuisine wouldn’t cause a raised eyebrow. I hear the FBI is still investigating what you did to the broccoli at your last party.
On behalf of myself, my ego and dapper dragons everywhere, thanks for the compliment.
